PROJECT OVERVIEW
Checkout & Website Redesign
Razorpay, one of India’s leading payment platforms, undertook a major brand refresh in 2024 to modernize its digital identity and strengthen its position in the fintech and payments ecosystem. Serving millions of businesses and customers, the platform needed to balance functionality, scalability, and trust in every interaction.
The redesign was not only about updating visuals but also about creating experiences that could handle the complexities of digital payments at scale, from merchants to end customers, across devices and contexts.
By combining interaction design, prototyping, and web development, the updated platform created consistent and trustworthy experiences across checkout flows, web journeys, and brand extensions.
The outcome was a system that could adapt flexibly to new features while maintaining a coherent design language, ultimately reinforcing Razorpay’s role as a reliable and forward looking financial technology provider.

CHECKOUT EXPERIENCE
Crafting Seamless Payment Interactions
The checkout process was reimagined to reduce friction and increase user confidence at critical points of payment. Motion explorations were designed to guide users through key interactions including confirmations, coupon application, OTP verification, and error recovery.
Each detail was carefully tuned to balance clarity, speed, and reassurance, ensuring that users felt secure throughout the transaction flow.
By introducing smooth transitions and responsive feedback, the platform reduced uncertainty and positioned the payment experience as both simple and trustworthy.
These enhancements reinforced Razorpay’s identity as a payments provider that values security and convenience, while also accommodating the scale of daily transactions handled by millions of businesses.
HOMEPAGE REDESIGN
Extending the Brand to the Web
The homepage was redesigned to reflect Razorpay’s updated brand identity and establish a stronger first impression. Hero sections were crafted to showcase the platform’s reliability, simplicity, and innovation while aligning with refreshed brand guidelines.
Visual consistency across sections reinforced trust and positioned Razorpay as a modern, reliable, and approachable brand.
In addition to elevating the aesthetic appeal, the homepage provided flexibility for future updates and campaigns, ensuring the refreshed design could evolve alongside new product features.
This adaptable structure enabled Razorpay to communicate its offerings clearly to both merchants and customers while maintaining a cohesive narrative across touchpoints.
CRAFT & ITERATION
Shaping Interactions Through Iteration
The design process focused on rapid prototyping, iteration, and close collaboration between design and development teams. Key interactions were tested in multiple variations to identify the most effective balance of usability, clarity, and brand expression.
Micro interactions, motion feedback, and visual refinements were adjusted continuously until the experience felt seamless and reliable.
By structuring the system around scalable design components, Razorpay created a foundation that minimized ambiguity and improved implementation efficiency.
This approach ensured that design decisions could extend into future updates without breaking consistency, making the platform more resilient, adaptable, and aligned with its evolving identity.
